What communities do you feel you are part of? - the communities i’m probably most involved with are the gaming community and some rock/metal groups. mainly communities built around parkway drive, sleep token and architects either on social media or on discord. building these communities and friendships with people based on music and gaming passions and preferences is such a nice way to get to know people from all different walks of life, and to bond over something you both mutually like is really nice!

Where do you feel you fit into your communities? i’m quite an active member of the discord servers i am involved in, and in particular within gaming, i spend a lot of time on twitch watching my friends stream and get involved with those regularly. it’s been really helpful over lockdown having that time with people i’m friends with, and supporting them in the meantime has really made things easier! as for social media, it’s quite nice on twitter to get to know people with similar tastes and preferences, and i’m quite loud on the app about a number of things i like (music, gaming, anime etc) so i guess that counts? haha

What drew you to them? i think learning more about myself and my own likes / dislikes and things that make me happy encouraged me to get involved in the groups, and the gaming scene is such a welcoming community. there’s so many different types of people with lots of different interests so it’s easy to get involved in! How do you express them in everyday life or do you feel that you hide them? i’m a mix of the two i think, my style doesn’t really reflect my interests per say, but i’m definitely involved in the alternative side of fashion and reflect that in my clothing and make up etc Do you believe communities help make up our identities? i do! i think it’s one thing making the connections yourself and finding yourself in that sense, but being a part of the wider communities brings a whole new light to it. it broadens your involvement and gets you chatting to so many people about multiple different things which is definitely the best part I am also after your fave lyrics/song/album/quote
