I’d consider myself to be part of pole community and LGBT, possibly alternative (because I have piercings and am saving up for tattoos as well) and maybe the gaming community but only kinda bc I play DnD rather than Xbox/PS etc

Pole drew me in bc it looks so graceful and also requires strength and fitness but I don’t really like “working out” or other sports so I gave it a try and loved it! I express myself as lgbt (I am bi) in going to pride events when I can and being in social circles with other lgbt people I have more queer friends than straight ones and we talk/joke about being gay af I already mentioned my involvement with alt/gaming groups Yeah also scuba!! I forgot about that one, I’ve always loved the idea of exploring the ocean and travelling and seeing things the average person doesn’t get to see day to day and have really enjoyed it since I joined the society

I think communities definitely do help make up our identity because everyone wants to feel like they belong to something, that they’re included and now outcast so we find people we like and activities to do and give ourselves a label that defines us as being part of something that we are connected to at our core.
